HCCG


Human Centered Computing Group (HCCG) focuses on the recent trends in human centered computing. HCCG primarily focuses on four broad areas:

  • Affective computing (AC)

    Affective Computing research combines engineering and computer science with psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, sociology, education, psychophysiology, value-centered design, ethics, and more.

  • Human Computer Interaction (HCI)

    Human–computer interaction (HCI) researches the design and use of computer technology, focusing particularly on the interfaces between people (users) and computers.

  • Multimedia systems (MS)

    Multimedia refers to content that uses a combination of different content forms. A Multimedia System is a system capable of processing multimedia data and applications. It is characterised by the processing, storage, generation, manipulation and rendition of Multimedia information.

  • Social Computing (SC)

    Social computing is an area of computer science that is concerned with the intersection of social behaviour and computational systems.

Over the last five years lots of quality projects have been done using tools such as Microsoft Kinect Xbox One, Wiimote, Arduino, Leap Motion, 2D and 3D Camcorder, Faceshift etc.
